Description
The Burro Rifle Magazine Pouch is the original — the one that started the Burro Series. We took the concept of an open-top elastic pouch and built it around curved Kydex inserts that give the pouch structure without sacrificing flexibility. The result is a pouch that draws and re-indexes like a rigid carrier, but adapts to multiple magazine profiles the way elastic should.
Compatible Magazines
Optimized for 5.56/.223 platforms including the AR-15, M4, M16, and any standard 30-round STANAG magazine. Also works with AK-47 and AK-74 magazines — when using steel AK mags, we recommend de-horning the feed lips for easier indexing and reduced elastic wear. Compatible with all Pmag variants.
What Sets the Burro Apart
Most elastic pouches are either too loose to hold a magazine under movement, or so tight they require two hands to re-index. The Burro solves this with internal Kydex structure that maintains the pouch opening while the heavy-duty 5″ elastic provides the retention. When the magazine is removed, the pouch collapses relatively flat — reducing your profile and eliminating snag points.
Because it’s not a rigid Kydex mold, the Burro works across multiple platforms. Shooters who train on both AR and AK rifles can run one pouch for both — no swapping gear between range trips.
Mounting Options
Ships with Onewrap loops for direct belt attachment. Using MALICE Clips (sold separately), the Burro mounts to any PALS/MOLLE platform or belt up to 2″. Compatible with the G-Code and similar belt adapters.
Additional Uses
The Burro makes an outstanding radio pouch — fits Motorola radios common to law enforcement as well as Baofeng handhelds. A genuinely versatile piece of kit.
Weight with Onewrap loops: 2.05 oz (59g). Available in Black, Coyote Brown, Multicam, and Ranger Green.
